"I'm done cooking for the week. I don't want to bring chili to the ward party."
"Well we never signed up so we don't have to."
"But we've got that corn we should use. Maybe we should take it and surreptitiously put some in someone's chili."
"I don't think that would look very good to just go around dumping stuff in chili."
"We also have this cilantro we could just sprinkle on people's chili."
"This sounds like a sitcom where someone calls the police because they think the soup has been spiked, and as the police are taking the culprit away he's saying 'I just needed to get rid of my corn!'"
Maybe we'll take the corn and cilantro to the ward party. Just in case.
