Our cousin picture was taken in fall of 1994 before digital cameras were a thing, so we got a picture or two of shell-shocked children, and that was what we were stuck with.
But frankly, the photographer reminded me of the scary short-haired lady on Sesame Street, and apparently she scared everyone but Leslie too. So I don't think multiple takes would have helped.
At any rate, we can file this away in "pain is temporary but the funny picture lasts forever." Especially when we get to remake it.
