451. How VHS works.
I turned a video on for them and a few minutes later they were complaining it wasn't working. What I had assumed were opening previews were actually trailers after the movie, so I needed to rewind the whole thing. It was no big deal, but it sure baffled my kids who haven't been exposed to VCRs except at grandparents' houses and are just used to DVDs and video streaming.
It'll be fun to see what other vestiges of my childhood they'll get to experience next. I wonder if they'll ever get a busy signal.
